Choose Cobry for the greenest tech solutions in the industry

It’s officially COP27 - the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference - being held in Egypt from 6 to 18 November 2022.

It’s a conference where representatives from 190 countries discuss action on climate change, and a time when organisations and individuals around the world pause to reflect on our own environmental practices.

Here at Cobry, we believe that we all have a part to play in creating a more sustainable world.

Cobry was formed with a low impact ethos in 2013. Over the last decade we’ve committed to continued positive impact for our employees, our customers, our community and our planet.

Cobry, the most sustainable choice

Cobry is committed to the United Nations seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. Over the last year we’ve focused our efforts on championing customer innovation, forging sustainable partnerships and supporting our community.

We know that one of the most effective ways to become more sustainable is to measure and reduce your organisation’s greenhouse gas emissions. We’ve partnered with Compare Your Footprint to help our customers calculate their total carbon impact and set realistic science-based net-zero targets.

Our efforts have impact closer to home too. We wouldn’t be Cobry without our team, and we’re committed to recognising our employees. We offer a 4-day work week for all staff; free health & wellbeing services; and opportunities for all staff to volunteer and give back to the community.

Google, the greenest cloud solution

As Google Cloud Partners, we’re proud to say that we use the greenest Cloud in the industry. Google’s data centres run on 100% renewable energy and they aim to be completely carbon free by 2030.

In addition, Google has the best tools available for companies to make their own sustainable decisions, including their cloud carbon dashboard and the ability to select carbon free data centres.

Choosing the right software has a part to play too.

ChromeOS Flex can be installed to extend the life of old PCs and Macs. This can reduce e-waste and means fewer devices end up in landfill. The modern Chrome operating system also uses far less energy to run, and there are licence options that allow you to donate your old hardware when you're finished with it.

In addition, the ability to work collaboratively in Workspace helps to reduce emissions every day by removing the need to download, edit, save, attach, and send, over and over again.
